70s Foreign film

Can any film fans help with this one, please? I watched a film in the 70s(?) which I vaguely recall was a short, silent(?), foreign film (possibly Danish or Swedish). A man was on a pedal cycle and kept seeing this beautiful woman with long blonde hair wearing sexy/flowing clothes walking along, looking at him (film slowed down whenever she appeared). Can't remember much of what happened in between but the last camera shot was of him on a pedal cycle and, when the camera panned back, he was now in a psychiatric hospital. Thanks!
