Des versus Richard...

Im confused! Richard Whitely was Mr Countdown but i just cant help thinking that des lynam does a better job! Any thoughts.....

I think Des is great. But I think that since he came, Carol has 'taken over' too much. Introducing the guests, and all that CHATTER - it is getting like the Des and Carol show.

Agreed. In fact,I think it has become the Carol Vorderman show and Des Lynam is the co-presenter. And her laugh - she'll laugh if her backside was on fire.

To be honest I'm not sure if I'd let either of them babysit- just creepy, but I think Des has got more of a future as a presenter than Richard.

des is not a patch on dickie whitely,des is too layed back and proper while dickie was up front and game for a laugh,a proper yorkshire lad.personally i think he was the wrong choice to take over.paul merton would have been better.this is just my opinion.

I was just saying the same thing to my partner the other day. I record countdown every day and watch it with my tea when I come home from work. Although Richard will be sadly missed, I do think Des does a better job.

Also, does anyone think the countdown website is a load of cr*p? they should have a function on there that allows you to play the game.
