I remember in my babysitting days a horror film where a wee warrior had a charm chain on it that locked in it's evil powers.Needless to say the chain fell off as soon as it was put in an apartment in the city, the person returned to be tormented by it ! It cut its way out of a suitcase, got out of the washing machine too - don't remember how. The kids were asking me what film scared me the most , I am sure that a major factor of fright was the parents of sat kid banging on the window two hours early as the credits rolled( "frit" the life out of me) ... kids getting ready to section me as they have never heard of it, they are just getting to the age when they'd appreciate a good horror I'd like to share the experience ! The title would be a great help. Many thanks in advance.

Sounds a bit like Trilogy of Terror - Karen Black - film by Dan Curtis 1975 (you can buy it on ebay!) :-)

I asked about this years ago - I was similarly scared witless, and will be getting a copy of the film.

If you thought that was scary, get a copy of 'Dead Of Night', now that will blow your socks off!

I watched it at a friends house when I was about 12 or 13, her mum and dad were out for the evening. We didn't sleep all night I was so scared, terrified, I had never been so frightened, I think I may have even been sick!! I was scared for years after, no kidding. I told my mum about it and she said that as I had watched it at my friends house nothing like that could happen in my own home, it sort of helped, bless her. I only ever saw it the once and it has really stayed with me, I'm 41 now and would love to watch it again - maybe - no collywobbles just thinking about it! - little knife so sharp, those teeth and when it opens the door and it's hanging on the door handle grinning.....aargh!

Hi sense4all

Couldn't help myself and had a peep at it - go to www.imdb.com/title/tt0073820/trailers Shivers!!

forgot to say that I did search for years & years - writing to film critics & companies to try to find this film (have a great letter from Daily Mail critic at the time) - I agree it was the scariest film I saw and remembered being creeped by the film. I finally got my copy from someone on Amazon in the USA - (but now they are on eBay) - to all of you that have this image of was it was like... I have to say although I enjoyed it - it did not seem that scary! perhaps I am getting old! :-) enjoy the film
