I'm not sure if the music was specially written for the mini-series as there are plenty of folky type songs throughout the production and I was unfamiliar with them. Sounded a bit like Steeleye Span meets Aled Jones!!

I'm also surprised that the BBC showed "The Virgin Queen" in the U.S. in December, a good six weeks before showing it in Britain. By the way, Joanne Whalley still looks good 25 years after she appeared in "A Kind of Loving".
