It's years since I watched it and I have no real impression of her

I note she hasn't done much TV since so you could be right

Remember Amy Turtle ?

I watch the re-runs Grumpy because I can't stand the modern version and I think DS Dawson is truly awful - both her acting and her character.  I can't understand why so many people have had relationships with her!!!

Is there a new version of Heartbeat?

Sorry Barry - senior moment.  Was thinking I also watch the old versions of Emmerdale because I can't stand the modern ones!!!

Rachel from Accounts isn't making a good fist of acting like a Chancellor!

I'm disappointed, Kustard.  I miss the long running series that were suitable for family viewing - Heartbeat, The Bill, London's Burning.

Yes and me Barry.  All I seem to enjoy are old repeats!!!

I loved watching Heartbeat when it was first on - have tried watching it again and it doesn't appeal at all.

Barry do you watch Father Brown?

We've just finished the third series of The Chelsea Detective, you might like that.  No flashbacks or time jumps, no fancy pants camera work designed to make you feel sick - a proper beginning, middle and end and likeable characters.

We've just started Under the Vines, a comedy drama that fills the BBC Friday afternoon slot.  Set in a New Zealand vineyard so a bit different.

We do watch Father Brown and we wish there were more WPC 56, if you saw that.

I watched the first series but if I am honest in infuriated me a wee bit lol.

Himself and I watch very different programs and its difficult at times to find something that we enjoy together.

The first series of Father Brown?

Yes Kustard, I feel the same way about Coronation Street, the good old days of Ena and her two cronies in the Snug, Elsie Tanner's clashes with her son Dennis, Albert Tatlock's grumpy grumbling, Annie Walker's sanctimonious comments about her customers, etc.   All good family viewing.

WPC56 Barry

The actor that played the horrible policeman has made a career out of playing horrible policemen.

Definitely, Canary!!!! I loved it when Eddie Yeats lived with the Ogdens and was always doing scams like getting Annie Walker her personally monogrammed carpet when she didn't realise AW stood for Weatherfield Alhambra.  Also, Barry, thanks for mentioning the Chelsea Detective.  I didn't realise there were two more series before the one which has just been televised.  At last, something to watch that I haven't seen before!!

I think you might also like Whistable Pearl, Kustard. We are planning to start watching it on catch-up soon.

Also The Marlow Murder Club and The Magpie Murders.

Try Ludwig and Professor T if you haven't already seen them
