I'll start, long before Lennard Pearce played grandad next to David Jason in OFAH the two of them were in a west end play called "The Rivals", oddly enough Pearce's character was Lucius O'Trigger.

Come on you know I am the master of OFAH so I need to be impressed to award the BA......

ok, so what does Elvis Presley and David Jason have in common?

Both are ignored by Answerbank members?

Both had twin brothers who died at birth.

I thought this was meant to be fun facts.

I mean each had twin brother.

Not having TV I never saw the original series but nowadays I frequently see clips on FB which have me in stitches.  I loved it when they were crossing the North Sea in a small boat and asked an oil rig worker the way. Only Del Boy would think of doing that.

Other than Del boy and Rodney, Trigger is the only character to have appeared in the 1st episode "Big Brother" and the last episode "Sleepless in Peckham"

Not sure I can tell you anything you didn't already know, being such a fan, but...

...when David Jason, (who ended up being at least 5th choice for the part of Del Boy) turned up to read for the part, John Sullivan and others thought he had come to read for the part of Grandad, having played older characters like Blanco in Porridge etc.

Jim Broadbent who had been second choice for the part of Del Boy,  couldn't take the part due to other work commitments, and ended up later appearing as the character Slater.

Buster Merryfield was British Schoolboy Boxing Champion, within his weight category, in 1936.  The losing finalist in another weight category in that year was one J R Pearce, from St Leonards (which, to my mind anyway, is not totally unlike 'Lennard Pearce').

Tessa Peake-Jones, who played Raquel, was actually in the first ever episode of OFAH! She. calls out 'Alright Del?' in the background. Many many episodes later she appears as the  character we know and love who Del ends up falling in love with.

In the first episode we also find out why trigger is so called:

Rodney: "...Why do they call him Trigger? Does he carry a gun?

Del: " No it's cos e looks like an orse!"
