I can remember a particular scene.

Man in frozen landscape, starving, cold, delirious shelters inside the carcass of a decomposing animal. He is rescued and carried to shelter.

Could be Tom Hardy

You must have seen the Revenant barry to remember the scene, the film is a wild west mountainous setting mainly always in snow in the middle of the USA (extremely depressing IMO), not exactly the kind of place a dead whale is lying around 🤣🤣

Just to add I didn't know the answer to this, only saw that film once and alll I recall is I hated every minute of it.

I did indeed watch it some time ago and it quite wrung me out.  I was awake half the night trying to remember what it was called and what the dead animal was.

I was sure it was Tom Hardy.

And I remembered it being a frozen wasteland, possibly a ship's crew stranded.  My memory is not what it was 😭

You're not totally losing your marbles, Barry. Tom Hardy played the character Fitzgerald, who wanted to kill DiCaprio's character.
