Asda sell sanitary and pads at 70p for 20.

Are we really meant to believe some people are so impoverished they cannot afford 70p?

Deskdiary I agree with you. They're so cheap but the choice appears to be either a new iPhone or sanitary products and the phone wins. (I'm joking - slightly).

It's illogical I know but I find the thought of putting used sanitary pads in the washing machine quite yukky. I assume they get washed on their own?

Dont forget its not just adults who need sanitary products. Some school age girls may not have access to them or cash to buy them.

How long do a pack of pads last an average period?
Say you need a pack a day so 7 x 70p is £4.90 that could be unreachable if you are on the breadline

My mother's and previous generations made their sanitary wear from old tags and boiled them in the boiler. So buying ready made pads and putting in washing machine shouldn't be a hardship.

And I'm with desk Diary and Boto on this!
Sanitary ware or mobiles? It's a strange world.
