Went to the cinema today to see this film. Took me a minute or two to tune into the Irish accents but the acting was superb. Set in 1969 it shows the "troubles" through the eyes of a 9 year old. Full of nostalgia for me through the music, TV shows etc. One not to miss.

Maydup:
The Odeon, Norwich is showing 'Belfast' with open captions on Tuesday, 1 Feb (at 1330 and again at 1600).

Vue, Norwich also has occasional subtitled movies but 'Belfast' isn't among them.

Cinema City, Norwich is showing 'Belfast' with subtitles on Mon 31 Jan at 1030.

Unlike you Chris to be championing Norwich - I thought you were a Tractor Boys man ;-)
I can't be too critical of Norwich, Canary42. Delia shops in my local Tesco and she might set about me with a cucumber ;-)
:-D
Chris - they used to do them (subtitles) in a movie house here but I only seen one then it was Calendar Girls.

Would you know if there are any showing of subs somewhere in Belfast or elsewhere. Thanks
Belfast in Belfast!

Subtitles are on the 11;30 Sunday 30th Jan or 7pm on Wednesday 2nd Feb showings at the Odeon in Belfast JJ.

Monday, Dundonald Omniplex, 1710

Thursday 10 February, Queen's Film Theatre, 1810
thanks Chris - one of those dates and times suit me.
Saw it today, really enjoyed it. Stars of the show IMO are Ciarán Hinds as grandad and Jude Hill as Buddy
I've seen it now and absolutely loved it. Some fabulous performances from the cast.
It has received 6 Oscar nominations
