/It was totally miserable, I enjoyed it .../.

Metoo. It was something different. It showed a different side of policing!
Just watched episode 2 and find it very binge-watchable. Which is what i will be doing tomorrow evening. Nothing confusing about it, imho. A very easy plot to follow.

I only stuck with it for about 20 mins.
The language was appalling and although I would expect some bad language, but the 'F' word seemed to be every other word.
As soon as I heard *** and it wasn't twit, I switched off.
I thought I was going to switch off after about 10 minutes, but I'm glad I persevered. I felt sorry for him as he's obviously going through it, but I thought his acting was superb and I loved his scouse accent ! Such a different role for him.
He's a superb actor and I agree Shirley - even better in this series which is really showing his talent. I think we'll be binge watching.
I don't mnd swearing if it's appropriate to the character and the plot. I really didn't notice it. It's unnecessary bad language that I don't like
I also gave up, mainly because of the language. Also turned ooff Trigger Point for the same reason.
Same as pats last two posts. He sounds just like one of my cousins who lives in Liverpool. Really enjoyed it.
Was quite impressed.
It will certainly be interesting to see just why he was demoted from DI to humble PC and whether that has any bearing on his undergoing counselling?
Yes, I also agree with pat's last two posts, except that I won't be binge watching !
Martin freeman played the lead character well. I’ll watch again .
Karl the drug dealer has nailed the scouse accent

Martin Freeman only bits - he has the k goes to ch - - as in lock
but not the vowel changes - were going to wair
and Karl's /r/ is spot on but I cant describe it
[not post vocalic, nor rhotic nor trilled]
I found it very watchable, he's a tortured soul and there's a constant tension keeping you drawn in.

Passable accent in the main and the language didn't spoil it for me.

PP ///Karl the drug dealer has nailed the scouse accent///
That might be because Ian Hart who plays him was born in Knotty Ash.
The accents that never seem to be anywhere right are the various Norfolk/Suffolk accents, apart from Ralph Fiennes in a film called The Dig. All most actors can manage is to turn East Anglian into West Country.
If anyone is going to get an accent right it would be Ralph Fiennes Pat:-)
True Ladybirder x
Just a reminder to those who like the drama that Part 2 is tonight at 9.00.
Just watched the last 3 episodes (there are only 5) and, if i were a betting man (ahem) i'd put a few quid on there being a 2nd series. And, at chez 4155 at least, it would be most welcome.
