BBC 4 9.30 Saturday evening. In Swedish with subtitles. Absolutely brilliant. A two parter that ended last night but there are 4 more episodes to go. Highly recommended.

is it the film chopped up into 4?
I stated watching last night, but i tend to flit between things (like my phone, or emails) when im watching TV and because it's subtitled you cant do that :).
So i watched the daniel craig english version that was on the other side at the same time.

It was a complete story but you had to watch it from the beginning.
so is it the 3 films in a series?
Question Author
I don’t know, sorry. What films do you mean?
Question Author
I’ve just googled Girl with a dragon tattoo. I didn’t realise they were the same story. Presumably then they are three films connected.
sorry for not being clear.
i remember seeing the "girl with the dragon tattoo" film that deffo had noomi rapace in it, but the thing on BBC last night appears from your post to be a series. I just wondered if they had taken a film and chopped it up, or if there really was a series? or now you are saying there are more episodes, if they have done that also with the following 2 films girl who played with fire and kicked the hornett's nest
Started watching last week. I'd definitely seen it before in some format.
thanks ginge, looks like it's the films chopped up into a series
There are 3 books/films in the Millennium trilogy. They are in Swedish (although there was a much weaker English remake of at least one of them).
This recent season splits each film into 2 parts, shown on consecutive weeks.
The Swedish films are absolutely excellent, even the 3rd one - the book was not great. They are titled "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest".
