Don’t know the exact name of the channel, but today’s equivalent of the old QVC shopping channel.
Still the same tho - watching some poor devil trying to look incredibly excited whilst demonstrating some object that nobody wants, needs or will ever use, alongside a presenter who is trying to look just as, if not more, excited lol!
Today we had, amongst other things, a mini torch, which extends into a long, bendy pole, for sliding down the back of the sofa, car seat etc, to hook out those awkward to reach objects, with a magnet on the end to lift it out.
Now I’m teasing, and I know that some of these items are indeed handy, just what makes me laugh is for how long these poor guys have to talk about them, while constantly thinking up new uses for them!! You can almost see the desperation in their eyes sometimes!
Anyone ever seen a truly random object for sale on these channels??
And I hope that we’re all having a happy Sunday my fellow AB’ers xx

I've never watched those channels but aren't they reading from an autocue?
For real boggle-eyed desperation you need to try those channels dedicated to crafting.

There's obviously a market for the over priced tat but the attraction is beyond me.
I don't watch those channels but my son's friend's mother has a house full of craft items she never uses.
I'm surprised these programmes are still running. A few years ago I sent for a set of drill bits which according to the presenters were the best you could buy. The first two bits out of the set were tried on soft wood, they didn't break -they bent into right angles.

I just stumbled upon the channel whilst looking for something else. As for the auto cue, well I don’t know but didn’t look like it - was painful either way!
I always thought that QVC stood for Quite Vile Craap. The spoof in the Bridget Jones film with the increasingly orange bloke summed them up perfectly.
