Just caught 10 mins of comedy series DINNERLADIES, and was in hysterics at the character Bren’s mother, played by Julie Walters. Omg she was absolutely brilliant - but I guess you either loved her or hated her. Guess that goes for the whole series tbh lol.
Any others??

The Fast Show.

Johnny Depp, who knows a bit about character acting, says that he thinks Paul Whitehouse is the greatest character actor of his generation.

And looking at The Fast Show, and his work with Harry Enfield, I could not agree more.
Waiting for God - Graham Crowden as Tom and Stephanie Cole as Diana.
Mamya. I loved Waiting For God. Diana had a level of sarcasm I could only dream of ☺
I used to love Trigger Happy TV
237 - I was in the THT Christmas Special, I was a white rabbit.

It was the most surreal day of my life!
Mamy - Waiting for God. So very good. I can see a bit of myself in Diana. So I am told by my family.
Morecombe and Wise. So good and timing is brilliant.
Last of the Summer - because it is so idealistic.
rising damp
still game
Porridge.......outstanding.

Only Fool's and Horses.....a close second.
I've got that DVD of Saxondale, Douglas. I found it funny!

OFAH - very hard to beat.

Opinions tho on Birds Of A Feather…??
I like it, smow :-)
^ Dated (in my opinion)
Also liked, Not Going Out, Friends, Smack the Pony.
Surprised nobody's mentioned AbFab, I loved it.
'Cheers' for me, with Norm being the best character.

An oddball one that I loved, probably because it was based, apparently, on what was my Local at the time - Early Doors by/with Craig Cash and Phil Mealey.

I'll also knock the trend - I've never like OFAH - there I've said it!
//I loved the Likely Lads - the original series, not the Whatever Happened To. But apparently hardly any episodes exist any more, they got taped over.//
It used to turn up a lot on the cable channels though.

I loved Dinnerladies, it was so well written and observed, as was most of Victoria Wood's work. I think about it everytime I clean the fluff out of my tumble drier and even the mention of sash windows can set me off laughing.
//Mamy - Waiting for God. So very good. I can see a bit of myself in Diana. So I am told by my family.//
My friends and I get called The Golden Girls by my children.
Tilly, there's a village near here called Kimberley and when we were house hunting I said I could never buy there, no matter how pretty it was! Even driving along and seeing the village name I have to repeat it in my Victoria Wood voice.
