In the bottom of a delivery bag, I once got found a blister pack of diazepam- 5mg, partly used. They should probably start treating their workers better.
While I agree, that cannabis, is far stronger nowadays, and more detrimental than people ever seem to have given credit for- i also wouldn't give it an automatic ban to workers. They are either doing their job properly, or they aren't.
oh yh so detrimental might eat all the food i just bought someone help me
having a cannabis cigarette after work is no different to someone having a beer after their shift i dont see why companies should be able to discriminate employees and im glad amazon is recognising the issue
Roadman, I meant schizophrenia and paranoia tbh.
i mean if you have mental health issues go see a professional dont blame them on a drug that just enhances those its like if you're anxious having coffee might not help either
Calling a casual user of recreational cannabis a 'dope head' is akin to calling someone who enjoys an occasional glass of wine an 'alky'.

All of the cannabis users I've known have used the drug responsibly and not, for example, when driving or working.
That isn't the case though, roadman... we already know skunk, especially, increases the risk of becoming schizophrenic, particularly when started as a teenager, and I'm sure we all have seen the paranoid effects of long-term dope users too. It doesn't just exacerbate, it causes. And, in any case, why would someone with perfect mental health... be self-medicating in the first place?
maybe they don't see cannabis as a medication, the way pub drinkers don't see a beer as medication?
Exactly.... like people with adhd are so much more likely to use speed... their brain knows what they need, even if they don't.
// And, in any case, why would someone with perfect mental health... be self-medicating in the first place? //

I doubt 'perfect mental health' actually exists. People who have the occasional spliff or glass of wine are not 'self-medicating'.
So is chocolate a medication? A bacon sarnie with lots of red sauce gives pleasure to some people, so are these people self-medicating too?
It doesn't exist. But, yes, they are self-medicating, whether they consciously realise or not. Alcohol is often used for relaxation, or confidence. What has an effect, gives you the effect you are wanting at that time.
Quite possibly, apg. Although there are only some we are sure of... like alcohol, cannabis, lsd, any addiction, and so on.
pixie, by the same reasoning, when I sit down to dinner I'm "self-medicating" because I'm hungry. I think you're pathologising totally ordinary behaviour.
propaganda propaganda everywhere
are people masturbating just self medicating lol
People who have an occasional glass of wine or who enjoy a bacon sandwich are self-medicating? What a load of utter tosh!
No, jno, hunger "is" perfectly ordinary behaviour. However, if you had a "craving"- for red meat, say. That's your body telling you what you need at that time.
That is tosh, naomi, yes.
Be awkward when they're selling it to be sacking recreational users.
