Did anybody notice the faux pau by Daisy in the pub tonight when she was perched on the bar stool talking to Jenny ? She actually said 'I was ******* working' (begins with 'f') ! I was watching a recording so played it back and she definitely said it. Surprised it was left in ...

I didn't notice that Shirley, are you sure?
I remember years ago my daughter phoned me to ask if I had heard a song called All Right Now by Free.
The words in it were Let's Move Before They Raise The Parking Rent, and she was convinced they didn't say parking, but they did of course.
//Let's move before they raise the parking rate//

Yes, I'm sure, I played it back. I'll be surprised if no-one else noticed.
Was that in the first part?

Oh blimey I can't remember, but I think so.
Oh yes, at 20 mins 18 secs in the first episode
I've just watched that bit again and had subtitles on.
Daisy says 'Cos I was too busy working to hear what it was all about.'
elliemay Sorry I got a word wrong, it was a long time ago.
Shirley, I just watched it again with headphones, and you are right, she actually said, I was too busy f ---ing working to hear what it was all about.
How strange that the actress didn't realise she said that as well.
That's what the subtitles say but if you listen it's not what she says
barry now I've listened to it again with headphones, Shirley is right.
flipping
Definitely not flipping.
I heard flipping
Just watched it again. It was definitely ‘flipping’, I’ve heard it several times in Corrie, and I used to think the same as you burleyshirley, but its ‘flipping’. Even Rita has said it, but think it depends on the voice as to how it comes across.
Question Author
Wasn't 'flipping' that I heard. There were no 'll's' in the word she used!

Be interesting to see if they remove it from the omnibus edition ..

I wonder how a lip reader would read it? Very different mouth shapes for 'flipping' and the other word
Question Author
I'm going to record the omnibus just to see what happens ! Or maybe watch it on iplayer ...
Question Author
I know the characters often say 'flipping', I've heard it many times.
You mean the ITV hub, Shirley :) That's where I was listening to it last night
