Yes, I did watch it. Nice to see yer queen tappin' her feet to the music and smiling. I think the DoK should pack it in at these ceremomials. I know he has mobility problems and he's probably keen to take part but he did look in a bad way with his walking didn't he?

As much as I would love to answer this very interesting question...I didn't watch it so can't :0/
The Duke of Kent is 87 this year, having become duke at the tender age of 7. He has been a loyal supporter of the Queen over the years, often in the background. He has deputised for Prince Philip when he was too ill to accompany the Queen. The Duchess of Kent, who is a year older, is even more frail these days yet neither has put a foot wrong in all those years, nor done anyting to bring the Royal Family into disrepute.
How do mean"yer queen"?Where do you come from?If you live in the United Kingdom she is your queen also.Do you live somewhere else rather than the United Kingdom? If so "mind yer ain business,ya eejit".
My mistake, he is 86 this year.
Jackdaw, there was a bit of a hoohah when she became an RC.....
It was the Queen's choice to have a family member there and she chose her cousin, had he not felt well enough to attend I'm sure he would have said so - they are close.
There was a little bit, but as they were married before she converted the Duke was not excluded fro the order of succession, unlike his brother, Prince Michael, who married an RC. Prince Michael was restored to the succession after a change in the law in 2013.
She's on duty tomorrow as well what with tea with President Bidet and the Doc. Then its Ascot week.
Who is the Doc?
We don't hear much about Princess Pushy these days....remember the Queen's rumoured comment? "We think that we are more royal than we are" - brilliantly cutting, if she ever said it!
Doctor Biden, his wife....she prefers the title over "First Lady"
I read that the Queen's comment about Princess Michael was, "She's far too grand for the likes of us".
Princess Michael has only recently re-emerged after being unwell, that will explain why you've heard little of her.

Can't have been easy for the D of K wearing the uniform and bearskin. I suspect it's quite heavy.
I thought HM looked lovely and happy. Nice low key ceremony. She seemed to enjoy the whole event and fly past
ynnafymmi please stop trawling the site being rude for no good reason, it's tiresome.
@Mamy...just asking where Clarion Street comes from?He/she stated"yer queen"indicating he/she doesnt come from the UK.Shouldnt Clarion Street not just say "our queen"...?
Ideally he should yes, however he has not broken any Site Rules any more than DTC calling Joe Biden 'Bidet'.

It's a bit of lazy sloppy talk in Chatterbank, nothing more.

He's from North West England.
yer/our - it's splitting hairs really - and it's a weekend Saturday and the sun is shining....
