I know quite a few of you don't like him but I do and especially his obvious love for the animals.
So I say YAY;-))

Noel has a girlfriend called Michaela ( think her surname is Heinmann). He mentions her several times in his second book. She supported him when he broke his neck and bought him Ricochet, the black puss.

It's a yay from me. This episode is about the care needed by his own dog after she was hit by a car.
Yes, looking forward to the series too. I'm not sure about tonights episode, I think its going to be very upsetting.
Yes, a must see for me as well. It will be very moving tonight as he absolutely adores his little dog and actually saw her get hit.
Love it and admire the man for his work.

Good innit? xx
Such an emotional programme tonight. Never seen such love and devotion to an animal before.
Thank heavens she survived.

Unlike Keith Chegwin, eh Caran :-)
What a wonderful man. Thats what I call true love and devotion. Its a wonderful programme too x
I cried practically all the way through, I know that total devotion to a much loved pet. Of course Noel worked his magic again, but how sad that she's elderly now and he will lose her sooner or later, I hope he's able to cope. Excellent programme. I love him even more now, if that's possible !
Think I'll have to watch this one on my own - even The Yorkshire Vet sets me off ! My one regret in life was not having the support behind me to study to become a Vet.

That's exactly what I was thinking BS, Keira can't have more than 3 years at best I would think. I wonder if he'll get another.
APG you do surprise me re the crying LOL.
What a shame you couldn't have fulfilled your ambition to be a vet - a hard job having to make heartbreaking decisions but also a wonderful job.
I also worry about what happens when Keira's time comes although Noel did allude to it in the programme. He has got his two gorgeous cats and, I think, a steady ladyfriend so he will have support. It was hard to see how vulnerable Noel is.
Question Author
But not really surprising Roo?
Does he have a steady girlfriend ? I didn't hear him say that. I hope he does, he's too lovely to be on his own.
he has a dog!
Noel I mean!
Mine too, apg, same reason. I can't watch animal documentaries, but like his posts on FB.
//APG you do surprise me re the crying LOL.//

More like slightly red eyes rather than full out wailing ....lol!

The crying of that poor dog sent chills up my spine. I was really hoping for a positive result, though it looked quite iffy for much of the program.
I'm not sure he has a lady friend, apparently he frequently sleeps at the practice after late night surgeries. It would be nice if he did.
Love these programmes, but I too am susceptible to tears, watching this kind of show!
His own dog? I can only imagine the sentimentality and devotion.
Think I'll watch it later, on 'catch-up',when I'm better prepared!
