I didn't watch it until lockdown, and shamefully enjoyed it :-)
Hopefully this one will end up on Netflix too.
Try as i might - and how i tried (had to, the ex was nuts about it) - i never found it remotely funny.

I had the same issue with shows like Fraser, Ken. Just couldn't get into it.
When will we get it? Does anyone know?
Question Author
Not sure, Rocky. Will see if I can find out.
Why did you 'shamefully' enjoy it pixie ? It was extremely popular and I loved it !

I'll be watching this.
I loved it...as did my millennial daughter. We've binge watched together. I'll really look forward to it also. I'm another who never 'got' Frazier...and a few other US imports.
I'd love to see MASH again though.
Question Author
I loved M*A*S*H too.
Honestly, Shirley, because it was so hyped for so many years, that I naturally avoided it . I decided I had more discernment :-), but it was great.
Pasta, yes, it was my daughter who watched it and I caught the odd episode, before I properly gave it a chance. Didn't really get Frasier either. I'm the only person on the planet, too, who didn't enjoy Breaking Bad. Clearly, I have no taste.
you look back and it's of its time. it's got a lot of flak for fat shaming, homophobia and so on
I never liked Frazier, nor Mash, but I quite liked Cheers.
One that I wish I had ignored the overhype for, was House. Watched it years later than everyone else, and many times since. Probably my favourite ever now.
Which part was the homophobia, bednobs?
But were they overhyped or just advertised like a lot of popular shows?

I don't remember any overhype, I just enjoyed it, and House.
Mostly social media I think. My taste in music perhaps, tells me that when anything is massively popular, it won't be for me. So, I'm wary :-)
dunno, it wasnt slated by me. I guess all the snide jokes about carol and susan, chandler and so on. Poking fun at chandlers dad etc
I've probably seen every episode at least 6 times and it still makes me laugh. There are one liners from it that me and husband have as part of our regular vocabulary now, done in the right voice of course such as I do! 'don't blame the pretty lady' ' not too shabby for my name inserted for Rachael' and Forever (whispered). There are others I can't think of at the moment.
Fair enough, bednobs. I just wondered, as I hadn't noticed it myself.
Pivot!
