This family is enjoying the new oldies radio station Boom, especially the lunchtime show hosted by Diddy David Hamilton who’s amazing for an 82-year old. Is there an older presenter on a British radio station you listen to or are aware of?

Not heard of this station. Will give it a go. Thanks.
John Suchet who is 77 and works for amongst others Classic FM.
I regularly listened to Nicholas Parsons until he retired shortly before his death in his mid 90s.
Annie Nightingale is also in her 80s :)

It’s great, Paigntonian. They play a great variety of music, including oldies you won’t have heard anywhere in ages. Other DJs include former Capital Radio stars Graham Dene and Nicky Horne, and former Magpie presenter Jenny Hanley
Coincidentally, I was wondering about former DJs the other day and looked up Emperor Rosko. Still doing the occasional broadcast apparently and will do you a personal radio show for £99.99!

On what station is Annie Nightingale these days?
Theblip: Definitely up for it. Can't claim to have been alive at the time but when I (joyfully) gained a barber's appointment on Monday they were playing hits of the Fifties and we all 'chilled'.
How long has Annie Nightingale been on Radio 1?
Nightingale has chalked up more than 40 years at the BBC station, dedicating herself to dance music in particular after acid house caught her ear in the 1980s Annie Nightingale in 1970, the year she joined Radio 1 as its first female presenter
i know she is still there.... good for her
I like to listen to the oldies sometimes so I tune into Gold.

Fifties, Sixties, and some Seventies - music that Radio 2 are reportedly and very ill-advisedly ignoring now
I grew up hearing the 50s thanks to my elder sister. That was enough for me.
60s and 70s sounds fine.
This is where internet radio comes into its own...20-odd thousand stations from around the world and you can choose exactly what you want to listen to. Many of them have no chat at all and no ads...just continuous music 24/7.
I know that Chris is a big fan, too.
Do you know the frequency? Have just googled it and it didn't show it.
Diddy David 82 now - blimey.
