What Excuse Will The Government Use When Daily Covid Deaths Are Zero?
Better to be safe? Protect the NHS? Their credibility is being pushed even now with deaths being negligible. Judging by the number of people out shopping and drinking yesterday it seems most are voting with their feet already. I dont think there is any way back to lock down now with all the promise of things going back to normal, even if infections rise, I would hope the people wouldn't stand for it, especially as all the elderly and vulnerable have had the jab.

If the public don't comply with Government recommendations, then almost certainly there will be further outbreaks and future lockdowns.
It is nowhere near over......only 50% of the population is vaccinated with a vaccine that at best, very best is 80-90% effective and that is without the appearance of new variants.

yes this has already been said many many times, by JVT among others, I think Chris Whitty said it too, that there will be ADVICE in the future at certain times about things like social distancing and masks, that some people may choose to continue to take precautions after they aren't generally required and that all of us should continue to do stuff that we should have been doing all along like proper frequent handwashing, proper tissue disposal and letting fresh air into houses and workplaces.

watching the news yesterday of the people going about their shopping, and visits to the pub, which you can now do, there were little evidence of mask wearing, or socially distancing that i could see - i know you can't drink whilst supping your ale, but even being interviewed no one thought to slip on a mask or be sufficiently away from their neighbours -
