originally they wanted David Jason to play Grandad and Jim Broadbent (Slater) was going to be del boy!
still makes me laugh where he is ogling all the girls in the wine bar, when he falls through the hatch, not sure which episode that is, but its a favourite.
Patsy; "One of my favourites was that singer (cwying) he had all those extra bits on him lol! " - Yep stage Fright, that was the genius of John Suyllivan, he takes most of the episode to set that joke up! When you first watch it it's magic but re watch it and there are little clues to what's coming. Eg early on when Tony is singing Delilah he says "push down the door" instead of "Bweak down the door"! He also says he can only sing certain songs. I think Derek Pope really did the singing on that episode to.
emmie, that's Yuppy Love
thanks TTT, excellent episode.
The one that made me laugh the most first time round was the chandelier one but it's not quite so funny once you know what's going to happen. Like others, have a lot of favourites but probably the stand out is the watch auction scene. I have it recorded and never tire of it, so funny when Rodney faints backwards.
I got 57/60 on the quiz
Tigger: " haven't watched them in a very long time but remember there was an episode where Rodneys birth and father were in question. Might've been one of the early series. " - that's "thicker than water" - S3
Love the one with the dolls and all the Christmas ones really
TTT. Yep, John Sullivan was pure genius!

TTT I didn’t know that about the roles originally being different!

I love the one when Del Boy brings home Raquels ex husband and she finds him asleep on their sofa! Lol
well David Jason had made a name for himself playing old timers in things like Porridge so they had him down for Grandad.
...yes that's class of 62
Cheers, TTT. Will look that one up when I get a chance.
they are repeated to death on Gold every day!
The Yellow Peril has it all with knock off paint that turns out to be luminous, and they painted the Chinese restaurant kitchen with it ... and their mam's grave. Still makes me laugh. They also had fun with paint in another episode when the decorated Denzils flat and though they had gassed the canary. Another classic.
Your Answer...the club singer ,i can't listen to roy orbison now without singing cwying lol

Is there an episode that anyone DIDNT like??
well it's relative but my least favourite ones are the ones after "Time on our hands" - the worst one being "If they could see us now" the one with Jonathan Woss and the game show. I think TOOH was originally meant to be the last episode but they got brought back and it all seemed wrong somehow. Although TBF I do like the actual last episode; "Sleepless in Peckham"
