"why would anyone under 60 remember LBJ?" I've never understood the theory that only those who were alive at the time of an event can possibly know anything about it. Johnson being sworn in on Air Force One of the runway of Lovefield Airport in Dallas, with Kennedy's widow standing next to him in her blood-soaked clothing, is simply general knowledge. The...

What is more of interest is the “ask the host” option.Jeremy Clarkson,I assume, had a pretty well rounded education. However I am quite astounded at what he doesn’t know or what he makes out he doesn’t know.I first refer to his saying he didn’t know about Custer and Little Big Horn and then tonight not knowing about LBJ and AirForceOne.I wonder if he honestly doesn’t know or he isn’t always “meant to know.”
Surely it depends on your own interests, I couldn't answer the majority of popular culture questions and I'm usually no wiser when I hear the answers! I did know this one before the options came up, same as I knew the Borgan before the options. I do find the 'before my time' whine irritating though!
Where did Abraham Lincoln die?
For the same reason that Alexander Armstrong reads every set of answers 'one more time' on Pointless, Ladybirder.
To pad out the programme and give contestants more thinking time.

Abraham Lincoln died in America, in a theatre.I

TTT....W A W.
Ken Bruce really bristles when contestants on Popmaster say 'before my time'. I think once he said ' well, you've heard of Shakespeare, haven't you?'
What does WWTBAM stand for?
Sorry. Got it now. Not familiar with the acronym.
I would never have known the answer to that question as it was not something I was taught.

I could, however, tell you instantly where Charles I was executed and the date.
Jeremy Clarkson wasn't certain was he?
Seems an odd thing to get your knickers in a twist about.
ladybirder "What makes you think that woof?"

because they ALL do it!
If nothing else, it demonstrates your rationale rather than just sitting there silently and thinking it through.
grumpy01 I wonder about that too sometimes, I found it difficult to believe he got the question about the longest M way in Britain wrong.
"Abraham Lincoln died in America, in a theatre"

Fords Theatre, to be precise, watching a performance of "Our American Cousin".
Bluemoon1, not living in Britain, I would guess the answer is either MI5 or MI6.
Bob Dylan knows;

"Air Force Once coming in through the gate
Johnson sworn in at 2.38."
It's the M62.

MI5 and MI6 aren't motorways... :-)
How judgemental.

Not having been taught something doesn't mean someone is thick. People have different skills.
I knew that, JimF, but you're being a little "secretive" as to what they actually are:) Now for a serious guess: I would think that the M62 connects London with somewhere on the Scottish border.
