person to be vaccinated - are they going to be a national hero like the first one? Great news for the rest of us and well done to the government for a wonderful achievement.

Yes, we are thriving since our divorce from the EU :-)
65-69 year olds being ‘done’ shortly.
Compared to the rest of Europe we are streets ahead ,I think Italy had only done something like 3 million last I heard
god ( oops sozza andie ) an amazing achievement
and done by VERY good tempered free helpers

i wont remember the doctor saying - shortest OAP consultation - they are usually FULL of questions. ( we fully use up the 10m slot)

I WILL remember the amazement of the teenage helpers.
the clutch of OAPS were ordered here and there and we just got up and did as we were told silently and er quickly ish. ( dragging pushing and pulling the slower ones as needed but always as a group)

Although it is going to be nigh impossible to know exactly who is the fifteen millionth, what's the betting they manage to find them?
I'm reliably informed that all/most vaccination centres have a reserve list of people to call at the end of the day so that they don't waste any vaccine from "no shows" - this is clearly sensible. Obviously it makes sense to invite people who can get there quickly at the drop of a hat.
I’ve wondered that too Naomi.
Our youngest son who lives on London received his jab appointment for next Wednesday, he’s in group 6 as he’s at risk and wasn’t expecting to hear so soon.
Although this post says 15 million vaccinated.
For the vaccinations to be fully effective the vaccination needs 2 doses. Only 0.80% in the UK have recieved the second dose.
Also the extended time lag in UK between 1st & 2nd dose carries risks . Be careful.
Yes but as we now know gulliver (was pretty obvious really but now WHO has endorsed it) its better to have 16 million vunerable people with 80 % protection than than 8 million with 85-90% for now at this critical time.
//Also the extended time lag in UK between 1st & 2nd dose carries risks//

Mimimal compared to the benifits of giving fist dose to twice as many.

Lets not allways look to score pollitical points gulliver (plenty of other opportunity's to attack Boris ) Lets give credit where credits due here
the oaz vaccinne was always recommended @12 week gap
They are ahead here as well 68 and vaccinated last week.
20.19, Just give the first dose of vaccine , that will give people just enough protection to keep them out of hospital, and stay at home , guess what happens then Bob. ?
