I was invited for a trial at Burnley around 1959 as were other North East Lads,couldn't go as I contracted Pleurisy,got a lovely letter from Harry Potts,who was Manager at the time wishing me well.A lot of Burnley Players came to my team,Sunderland, when Jimmy Adamson was Manager.
