I really like Gloria and Julia but I just cannot watch Angela Ripon. She is so up her own @rse. Anyone feel the same?

Oh come now, Mr Hughes, let’s not be coy. I’d say memory was very important as a quality. It might, for instance, let you remember certain instances of a lack of judgement on a given subject and prevent you from repeating them. Like the recollection you’d started 3 threads about a person which might prevent you from stating an....incorrect truth. Perhaps?
Thanks again, A-H. Are any of those examples of GH 'needlessly dragging the conversation around to her loss'?
// I hope that is reward enough for your unseemly intetest in my history - a man crush is not a dignified way to go, think about it. //

'Having a man crush' might overtake 'being anti-British' as the 'can't think of anything else' insult hereabouts.
Indeed, China. A cheap shot ranking alongside ‘end of’. Or even ‘so’!

Don’t forget Caron was a tv personality too and many viewers can relate to her when Gloria talks about her loss. I have never noticed Caron being referred to on Rip Off Britain
Positively manic tonight.

Do you watch it all or go make a cuppa during the program?
She might sneak it in when you are brewing up.
I have no need to sneak off, I have a pause button
let's begin every thread about the loss of a loved one, and then get on point about the thead you started minus lost loved one, you may plateau into said loved one, by what would deardre have said about covid, or watched strictly come unbalanced, err deardre had legs like that..

I for one have no idea what this means - care to elaborate?
Andy - here is a link - they say you can never get blood out of a stone but perhaps this could get blood from your heart. Please forward to around 48

jenny - I am unable to open an account to watch the programme.

I tick the 'over 13' box, and then it tells me that I need to be over thirteen.
ok - do think you have to sign on for the bbc1 Iplayer - if you would care to do so.
OK signed in - watched the clip you indicated.

I interpret - from your strange metaphor - that I am unfeeling and unsympathetic towards Ms Hunniford's loss, and I have always taken pains to point out that this is not the case.

I would never want anyone to suffer what she has suffered - I have also pointed that out repeatedly, so if you wanted 'blood from my heart' as you put it - you have it.
ah thank you Andy - have a nice day!
jennyjoan - // ah thank you Andy - have a nice day! //

Thank you and the same to you - and a special thank you for undersatanding that being midly irritated by the attention-seeking behaviour of a TV presenter does not actually make me heartless and unfeeling.
If you were only 'mildly irritated' you wouldn't seize on every opportunity to let the world know about your mild irritation.

roy - everything is relative - you have no idea how I react when I am seriously upset about something.
Good to have a ray of light shining in these dark days.
