I really like Gloria and Julia but I just cannot watch Angela Ripon. She is so up her own @rse. Anyone feel the same?

Zacs - // Andy, the statement '...understand the simple dignity of dealing with your grief in a respectful manner' conflicts with 'Pain from the loss of a child is something I cannot begin to imagine.'

If you can't imagine the grief of losing a child, how do you know it's something you'd be able to do with dignity and respect? //

I am fortunate enough not to know the greif of losing a child, but I have lost various familiy members and close friends, as most of us have by this time in our lives.

I know what basic dignity and respect is as an adult, and it does not include drawing attention to a loss at any and every opportunity, via the platform of national television.
What I find most distasteful about this Andy is the reputation you have forged for yourself regarding this lady - I cannot be the only one who sees her name mentioned and then cringe as I wait for you to appear with your usual paragraphs of oh so wise judgement.

Is that a reputation you are happy to have made for yourself?
Can't stand her or Gloria.

Like I said. If you haven’t lost a child you haven’t got a clue. //

I fear I am failing to make my point clearly.

My issue is not that I feel Ms Hunniford should not properly grieve for her loss - it is the way she parlays it into an attention-seeking aspect of her professional career which I find unseemly.

I have not 'forged' anything - and I only ever respond to mentions of Ms. Hunniford, as on this thread.

If you shudder at the thought of me expressing an opinion, feel free to indulge in the free option of simply ignoring my posts - that should solve your problem.

Despite so many attempts too.

Indeed. But the grief of a Child is, I believe, something of a different magnitude.
Andy, I cringe in anticipation - I no longer shudder having read it a myriad times, that doesn't make it any the less distasteful.

I shall ignore what I wish to and comment where I feel I should.

Indeed it is - but it's interesting that out of the many famous people on television who have lost a child, only one behaves in this ghoulish fashion.

Andy, you've started 3 threads with direct reference GH. This one is specifically related to your obsession with the loss of her daughter:

Someone on her said you were pompous recently and my goodness how right they were. I am not interested in your diatribes about this woman, she has lost a daughter, that is all I need to know! This will never happen to me because I don't have a daughter, but I lost my Mum and that pain will be with me till I die and can join her again, so yes, I can only imagine Gloria Hunniford's pain as I know it will be mine magnified many times and because of this I have every sympathy with her. I too cringe every time her name is mentioned on here because I know you will be on with your usual rubbish.
OK so you hate the woman andy but how many times must you tell us?
Ah, I see Zac has beat me to it. (I'm slow today)
Well, Andy, you didn't simply ignore me when I posted about your beloved Duchess and why she was telling the world about her loss when she has claimed to want privacy!

In fact, you were downright abusive. But it's one rule for you and another rule for everyone else.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are a monumental hypocrite. Of course you'll be removing this answer in short time like you usually do with posts that highlight your hypocrisy or criticise you in any way.
I like Julia, but I'm not Angela or Gloria. Julia looks so good for her age too and dresses beautifully and is stylish and is quieter than the other two. The other two act and dress like stuffy maiden aunts and are both up themselves in my opinion.
Mr Hughes seems to be ignoring the fact that he's written a downright lie.

Thanks for your input, I stand corrected.

I hope that is reward enough for your unseemly intetest in my history - a man crush is not a dignified way to go, think about it.
I think Angela is absolutely gorgeous.
