Tipping Point Today

Did you see the young lad who not only pressed the button too early more than once and landed on top of the counters, his answers were hilarious - sadly he thought he was right! One question was 'Goldfinch - which group of winged creatures do they belong to - his answer- 'FISH'! Another question name a third US state which begins and ends in 'A' - his answer - 'Florida'! I missed the start but apparently he was a teacher!

He was probably nervous and thought the qn just said 'ends in A'

No he actually went through several other 'states' including New York and Miami! Then he said Florida, then had a lightbulb moment and went 'ah Florida' as his answer.

I didn't see todays but think i'd be nervous on a gameshow, however easy it is to answer sat on the sofa, sometimes I wonder blurting out answers 'how the flip did I know that?'

We are both the same, one knows one question, the other another, never have time to ask "how did you know that"

A teacher on the Chase last night wasn’t much better. I feel sorry for the future of our children.

He taught drama, not sure what qualifications are needed for that? He seemed a likeable lad anyway, perhaps that's more important than being able to correctly answer general knowledge questions.

These people have volunteered to appear on a national TV general knowledge quiz, so they must think they are up to it. How wrong they are.
