Alexander Armstrong has just sung the programme out at the end.
Am I missing something, I don’t think he can sing at all, seems very self indulgent as he appears to think he’s wonderful.

i know, i have heard him sing before, crikey what a noise.
he always reminds me of the BFG - the sticky out ears and all,
Am sure hes had at least one very successful album
He does have an album/ albums out Vagus. I'm indifferent too.
Try this and compare to the goddawful Sting version

he was classically trained at St Mary's music school in Edinburgh..only the very gifted get in there..I have been to a concert at The Playhouse here in Edinburgh and he was actually very good
gosh no, at least play Eva Cassidy version of Fields of Gold
His first Album made 6th place in the charts five years ago - not sure how his latest is selling.

Yes, I know he has an album, or albums out, and have never understood what his singing appeal is.
I really like him in Pointless, and other things I’ve seen him in, he seems like a nice chap, I really wish he wouldn’t sing though....
I think he’s a wonderful singer
sorry don't like his voice at all
I think I prefer Ball and Boe. and that's saying something. However I have heard other stuff he has done and it was better.
He's easy on the ear.

Question Author
His voice, to me, sounds weak and warbley, and I really don’t like his diction.
Gosh, Murraymints, I find that really surprising.
much better live.... bought the CD..... and think his classical training lends itself to performing more than recording..if that makes sense
no good don;t like his warbling
I saw him live in a small, intimate venue a couple of years ago. He didn’t make me cover my ears and run away but I didn’t his singing. He was a good raconteur, which surprised me
Does he say “Indeed” after every line?
Indeed he did

A while ago the topic was top 40 albums of the year. One of the contestants answered Alexander Armstong. He laughed then Richard Osman said that the answer was correct, and low-scoring.
