Did anyone watch Piers Morgan interviewing Matthew McConaughey this morning?
Maybe I am not the brightest bulb in the box, but I failed to understand what the interviewee was on about.
Liberals, Liberalism, non Liberals?
Any comments folks?

LOL. OK O_G
Did not see but just read this excerpt of what the media is saying was an enthralling interview:
“You need liberals. What I don’t think we need is the illiberals, and what I don’t think that some liberals see is that they’re often being cannibalized by the illiberals.”

Er, what? I must be thick too :)
I googled your question and still don't understand what the interview is about.

Looking forward to the visit from Santa, Sqad?

LOL....I know chelle and Piers enthused all over the guy.

Can't wait wolf.
Mr McConaughey sounds like he's a Democrat, known for being 'liberal' as opposed to the more staunch, 'illiberal' Republicans.

But, as for them being 'cannibalised'?

Call me Thicky Vicky McThick - Amoeba Brain...
i am amazed that Piers enthused over the guy sqad, he seems a bit of a bull dog usually. Some don;t make good interviewees, recall
one where all the person would reply was yes or no. Think it might have been on Parkinson
Yes, Emmie, it was Robert Mitchum!
was it, thanks,
translation:

You need liberals. What I don’t think we need are those bigoted individuals opposed to liberal principles. What I don’t think that some liberals see is that they’re often being used as a source of ideas and values by those very people they are opposed to.”

Still doesn't make sense so add me to the list please.
Harrison Ford and Robert De Niro are also renowned for being monosyllabic and that's why you hardly ever see them being interviewed. I also find Harrison Ford difficult to hear. His voice is very deep and he mumbles - so does David Duchovny for that matter!
or the interviewer Russell Harty, where he was clouted by Grace Jones, classic.
seems pretty clear to me. What's troubling people?
If it involves "Phone hack" Morgan then it is all about Morgan. And thats about it no matter who is being interviewed.
I remember watching that. Didn't understand why at the time, but apparently she felt that she was being ignored!
Sorry, that was to Emmie!
i confess the only interviewer i liked was Parkinson, he mostly got the best out his interviewees.
she felt as you say that she was being ignored. Gave him quite a smack
We never missed Parkinson.
He's from Cudworth, I think?
It's just down the road from here, beautiful little village.
We used to drive through it to avoid major roads, on the way to Barnsley.

...and of course, Parkinson helped immensely with Billy Connolly's career.
