the crown. New series on Sunday
'The English Game' is good.
also schitt's creek, modern family
Designated Survivor...sensational.
The Queens Gambit?

Not watched it myself but heard good things.
The Glitch - an Australian series - spooky and funny
Reign if like historical stuff
try the S Korean version of Designated Survivor - an interesting take
Afterlife by Ricky Gervais.
Depends what your into.... but I have loved.
Breaking Bad,
13 Reasons why!
Sex education
Designated survivor
Orange is the new black
I'm really enjoying Undercover.
The Queens Gambit is ok. I was a bit umderwhemed. But it's had excellent reviews.
crown and Queens Gambit - watch QG - saying to yourself she doesnt exist ( based on Bobby Fisher apparently) and then you can get over the oddities SPOILERS

black servant quoting shakey: no teacher ever did that in the 60s [apparently they used to think alot that "it wasnt worf de effort"]
the girl cleaning board rubbers inside whereas everyone knows you banged them against the wall outside (chalk dust)
the girls are not supervised every moment of their lives
the head not hearing that the girl was speaking to the janitor and forbidding it stat! forthwith!
all the chess is pukka apparently ( advised by Gasparov )
the unlikelihood that anyone from an institution would in fact make it in the outside world

Black Crows ( alot of arabic - see episode 2 first and it you can stomach the burying alive of the Yazdi slaves then the rest is ok)

Undercover - you will learn Flemish

Veroooonica - you will learn sarf american portugues

the secret city - English - Oz GCHQ - the weirdos who work there and whether they are betraying secrets. and that will give an entry to three or four others

// I'm really enjoying Undercover.//
ye denke undercover is goed? Anouk is lekker ....

Ozark is really good. Bit of a slow start but then you’ll be hooked.
Difficult to recommend programmes because tastes differ, but I liked 'The Crown' and 'The Queen's Gambit', and a short series (three of four episodes I think) called 'Unorthodox', about a Jewish girl who flees her strictly orthodox community.

I’ve surprised myself by really enjoying The End of the Effing World. And last night we started a Swedish series called Love and Anarchy..a bit of a slow start but has potential.
How about trying The Spy with Sacha baron Cohen in a rare-for-him straight role. It’s real heart in your mouth stuff... only a short series though. And have you watched the new “Rebecca” yet?
I agree with you Chokkie about The Spy - an unexpected treat.
PP - does "lekker" mean undemanding and easily accessible ? I'd go along with that - probably why I'm enjoying it.
Ps - PP I see you said Anouk is lekker. I understand now - I think ! Didn't read your post properly.
'Unbelievable'. Not sure if it's still available but it is one best things I've watched on Netflix. It's based on real life events.
The Last Kingdom - all about Alfred the Great and Danes/Vikings etc. I'm now watching all the 4 series again with season 5 due out at some point.. Basically the Saxon Stories, the novels by Bernard Cornwell. The star who plays Uhtred of Bebbanburg is also just absolutely gorgeous.
As has already been pointed out, tastes vary, so here's some very watchable series, none of which are of the same genre;
Orphan Black - 5 seasons
Vikings another - 6 seasons
True Detective - 4 seasons
The Sinner - 3 seasons
Bloodline - 3 seasons

Some of them are fast paced, some slow, but all well worth the watch. In my most humble opinion, of course :-)
