His outfits have to be seen to be believed. Today he had reddy/orange jacket, white shirt,navy trousers and a green hanky in his pocket.
Where does he get his dress sense? Or is it done deliberately for television?

We all get that from time to time, Khandro. I was convinced that I attended an event that happened before I was born (I'm still sure I was there)
I saw him a few years ago when he was the guest speaker at a Women’s Institute meeting. I’ve never watched his programmes since!
// Slowly, thank you G, I suspect I am a victim of 'long covid'.//

so when all the free finkers on AB say - "lock away the old and let covid rip - WE dont care !" - you think to yourself
hallelujah - how true how true

You have to wait - sorry about that - of those who are long covid - about 90% are back to almost normal in 12 weeks
the unlucky 10% have to wait longer

and good luck - - long covid for the old is slightly different as it is clear that their illness has screwed them and not covid - a friend took around 3 m to recover from a hospital admission and it wasnt v=covid - good luck again
shoota - when you see Trump - do you think - god if he is like me, then the Free world is absolutely fracked?
Well he must be an odd ball to have served under Thatcher. Apologies to TTT.
I absolutely love Michael Portillo's travel shows and his outfits. Did voluntary work with a lovely man who also wore similar clothing and loved the eclectic mix of colours. As my son says "don't follow fashion, set it."
The word on the street is that his kit comes from Adrian Holdsworth of Volpe in Pimlico, but I just bought some lovely dark red trousers from Lands end.

The more garish ones in the UK golfing fraternity are called 'Cor blimey trousers'.
His jackets are from Volpe and he buys many of his shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt
