I'm watching it now and I agree
There certainly aren't that many song titles that I recognise in the set list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Night_at_the_Odeon_%E2%80%93_Hammersmith_1975#Track_listing
Most of them are from the earlier queen albums - I love them but not the later, more commercial, ones. Most seem to be from:

Queen
Queen 2
Sheer heart attack
A night at the opera

Sounds good to me!
I agree Jim - I loved early Queen
Only so much stuff available and Queen have been done to death already.
A seen it before in 1975 on TV. It was good a thought and covered all the sorta stuff they did live then. It were stuff from there first 4 albums. Riginal queen fans would know them all or most. They couldnt of done we will rock you somebody to love., crazy little thing called love radio gaga as they hadnt wrote them then. Bohemian Rapsody wasn't one they could do live. A liked it
Was it billed as a freddy concert? The one a saw was queen. They was only just starting to have comercial success in 1974/75 so a none-fan at the time wouldnt recognise most of there 72, 73 stuff
The album of the concert only reached No.40 in the charts, so Queen weren't much popular then.
Worth watching for a great version of ‘Seven Seas of Rye’.
Know most of those tracks.

Shame to have missed it but I would have been in the land of nod when this thread started.
saw Queen when they supported Mott the Hoople in 1973, at the infamous Hammersmith Odeon gig which overran its allotted time and ended with the safety curtain being lowered mid-performance. Morgan Fisher moved his piano to stop it descending, while the band ended up on the catwalk while the front row fans took on the bouncers. Rock 'n Roll!
Queen's set went without incident and was truly professional.
Turns out that it's available on My5
I'm confused! Is this a solo Freddie concert, a Queen concert, or the documentary "Queen, the band that rocked the world"?
Ahh, just followed Chris's link. The Christmas eve concert from 1975.
Having backtracked all Queen albums, I did know all of the songs they performed when I first watched that 1975 Concert.

Tonight at 11:00pm Sky arts (Now on freeview ch. 11) are showing Queen Live in Milton Keynes recorded in '82. They may be more familiar songs but it has been edited to an hour so unsure of whats been cut.
Not proper Queen fans if you don't recognise their earlier work. My guess is that, like thousands of others, your interest in Queen did not begin until after Freddie's death.
A was only just out of short trouser's in 1975 but as my older friends liked Queen a were very familiar with there early albums which a bought after being blown away by Shear Heart Attack. So a know all those songs - except See What a Fool I've Been which a never heard before afaik
That's not fair Ken, there's nothing worse than elitist fans of something. A lot of Queen fans aren't old enough to know album tracks from Sheer Heart Attack.

Having said that, I'm not sure what folk were expecting from a gig from 1975. Radio Gaga and We Are The Champions hadn't been written yet. Perhaps the Live Magic film would be better if folk want the mpre familiar songs.
Mozz, i got into Sabbath, Led Zep and Pink Floyd a bit later than some of my friends but i went and bought all their back numbers. Nowadays there is no need to buy, just download. No excuse :-)
I was born in '72 but grew up listening to them with Ma being a fan of them and Elvis. It wasn't until early eighties I realised what genius musicians they are, even backtracking to owning a pre 'Queen' Smile Japanese import.
