Following the news that the presenter Sue Barker and team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell are being axed from A Question Of Sport, there is much speculation online that their replacements will be “people of colour”...though admittedly that is yet to be confirmed. If it does turn out to be the case, is that not racism against Caucasian people - firing them because they are white?

I think this is all part and parcel of the BBC’s £100 million initiative to increase diversity - and I don’t believe for a moment that Theblip is guilty of possessing a fevered imagination, as charged. Unlike some he doesn’t appear to be in denial of the current fad for ‘woke’ that is hurtling at break-neck speed across our society. I don’t understand the...

Far too much speculation involved, at such an early stage, for me.
Get your complaints in afore owt happens, that's the ticket.

My money would be on Alex Scott and Sam Quek being among the replacements.
Who knows what talent will be around for 2022?
It all seems a bit odd, the BBC said \\"Together they have ensured A Question of Sport remains a firm favourite with the BBC One audience."//
If this is the case why change it and I wonder what "new direction" the programme could go in. How do you radically change a sports quiz programme ,where the presenter asks questions and the team answer questions, on sport. Will the newcomers all be on unicycles?
So you're having a pop before the online speculation becomes a reality? Really?
Book early to avoid the rush ;-)
I have heard a rumour, though it is unconfirmed, that half the British Athletics team is made up of people of colour. I have even seen one or two footballers and boxers who are decidedly pigmentary challenged.

The Lib/facs have a lot to answer for. Imposing their peace love and understanding on all us patriotic haters.
// pigmentary challenged// ?

Did you mean to type that?
The BBC recently committed £100 million to increasing diversity. Watch that space.
Lets save our anger for things that do happen- there are plenty of them.

It is the BBC though so anything could happen given the woke lefty liberal metropolitan elite in there.
You mean indirectly the tax payer (licence is a tax) has channelled 100K to 'diversity'?
Why did you post that link for me, I know what it is.

Perhaps you dont recognise sarcasm when you see it?

Are you actually proud of that reply Theland?
'pigmentarily'?

I'm gettin' all deja vu'd with the ensign but as usual can't bring it to the fore. :-)
Depends on the reason they were selected. There are lots of dark skinned folk in sport.
And they all appear to support BLM, when in fact they seem to have done alright for themselves.
Who do?

The presenters who haven't even been chosen yet?

This is almost unbelievable,I did say almost - I should know by now.
