Can anyone remember when C4 first started in the 80s? On the first day of broadcast they showed a drama that was quite shocking. It opened with a man who had obvious learning difficulties trying to feed his dead mother in her bed whilst pigeons were flying around the room.

What was the drama called? As far as I know it has never been repeated

There was a follow up, Walter & June.
Rather sad, as I recall.

That's included in the DVD package. I'm sure I saw it but it doesn't come to mind.
I remember they also showed a film I really enjoyed- scaled something like Yang Ptang Kipperbang. And the first Brookside got me hooked
^CALLED not SCALED
One of the first programmes I recall from CH 4, I think, was a hilarious spoof of the 'Famous Five' enacted by foppish adults and simpering women . Of course there was lashings of Ginger Beer.
