Early doors for this thread as I am working all week. No win or e.w. singles this week as I will not be in a position to check on non-runners, nor participate in the 365 'ITV offer'. So, just a straightforward Lucky 15 and e.w. acca, concentrating on the 4 handicaps taking place on the first day of the Festival;

1.10; Tomorrow's Dream @ 4/1
1.45; Maydanny @ 8/1
3.45; Count D'orsay @ 10/1
4.55; Tulip Fields @ 9/2

4 placed = £38, 4 winners = £3,696

Best of luck to all punters :-)

Did see you flash through earlier on Ken but have had the luxury of waiting to see if any are scratched. Glorious Goodwood, but without the weather or spectators although I see that they are letting in 5,000 on Saturday. Done the ITV7 and note that the powers that bee have gone up to Ayr for a couple of races then left out the Ayr Gold Cup which is the best race on the card. Bemuses me sometimes. That said Ironclad is in the race and I have been following Hugo Palmer all over the country with it only to see it withdrawn at the last minute for 3 races on the trot. It is one of my "stable" picks so has to be done.

Derevo @8/1 1.45 Goodwood
Duke Of Hazzard @6/1 2.45 Goodwood
Ironclad @4/1 3.30Ayr
Count D'Orsay @16/1 3.45 Goodwood.

£1.00 E/W Acca. E/W Doubles and Trebles.

Done the 3 Goodwood runners from the above with Ventura Express* 2.00Ayr, Battleground* 2.15 Goodwood, Entrancing* 2.30 Ayr, & Stradivarius 3.15 Goodwood in the ITV7. *** £1.00 Trixie. Off out myself now for the afternoon and defying the weather....Good luck if you have a go.

First 2 oblige (just short of £15 returned) which is nothing to get excited about. But it does mean that my next 3 days of Goodwood bets are paid for. :-)
Well done Ken...not been in long had an afternoon on the West Shore Llandudno. Windswept hardly covers it but it was not cold. So much sand in my clothes I could Make a bucket of compo......in Bob the Turkey's orange one.
Had a quick look at tomorrow's fare Ken......Proper pick-n-mix. We are having a luverly time at Bangor. Again strange choice for the ITV7 when the First race at Goodwood is a group 2 X 8 horse race , and the last one is a group 3 X 20 runner race. Both nice handicap races. Catch my breath and have a look closer tomorrow. Don't be working too hard now, save a bit for yourself. We are rammed out with idle gits here at the moment.....they all look as if they usually go to Benidorm, or somewhere like, cos they have never been on holiday here before.

Just pulled £131.30 off a free £5 fivefold on the football with Skybet :-) (Skybet Club)
Wasn't going to bother because there were only two 'proper' games, both in Serie A, but I scrolled further down and found a Norwegian match, a Polish play off and a Swiss league game to play with. So pleased I did!

Tomorrow's bet is once again compiled by the handicaps and is a straight L15 and e.w. acca - no frills;

1.10; Be More @ 5/1
1.45; True Destiny @ 4/1
2.15; Glenties @ 6/1
4.20; Toro Strike @ 7/1

4 placed = £22, 4 winners = £2,096

I had originally intended to back Johnston's other runner in the 2.15 but I bottled it because of the price:-( However, on reflection, I've had a £1 e.w. on King's Caper in the 2.15 @ 25/1

Best of luck.

You are on a roll then Ken. Could do with a bit of beer money for the Friday "hot spell" myself....Haha.
Lake Lucerne @7/1 1.10 Good.
Oleg @6/1 1.45 Good
Ahead Of The Curve @4/1 2.00 Bangor
Sardinia Sunset @4/1 2.45 Good.

£1.00E/W Acca 30p Doubles and Trebles.

Put the bottom 3 of those with Encipher 2.15Good, Potterman 2.30 Bangor, Kameko 2.45 Good, & Furlong Factor 3.45 Good. for the ITV7. Going out for a walk on the prom for now but will probably be looking for a get out of jail punt later and will be looking at Dirty Rascal in the last at Goodwood. Good luck if you are enjoying the racing and have a go.

Just the one winner - Fahey's in the last - which is par for the course at GG. Hopefully do better tonight at Thirsk. Enough 'proper' games in tonight's football for another little acca :-)
See just how much of a roll I am on:-/
Question Author
No longer on that roll you spoke of, Togo. Though I did have very high hopes as the first 5 of my sixfold duly obliged. Was then left waiting for the almost mere formality of Juventus winning away at Cagliari - just as they have done for the past 8 seasons. They got beat 2-0 and the £144.12 never reached my account:-((

Not a very good day at GG tomorrow, as regards handicaps, and I've been forced to have a look at the NH meet at Southwell. And I only found one there I was interested in;

1.10 Good; Newyorkstateofmind @ 11/1
1.45 Good; Zabeel Champion @ 5/1
3.00 Sou; Gavrocheka @ 5/1

30p R Robin, £1 e,w, Treble. 3 placed = £12, 3 winners = £655.40.

Best of luck tomorrow, T, if you're having a punt.
Ditto Ken. I'm sure the racing will be top drawer but the card doesn't do much for the fun punter. Like you, I have kept it simple with a £1.00 Trixie and done the ITV7 cos it is free.
Electric Ladyland @11/2 1.10 Good.
Magical Morning @15/2 1.45 Good.
Gunnery @5/1 2.30 South.

Off out for a walk and a bit of shopping, plus I need a kitchen sink overflow and plug hole combo after ours started to leak. Stripped it out and saw all the washers were perished causing it to weep. Ruddy nuisance. Currently got no working sink so need to get weaving.

ITV7. Magical Morning 1.45G, Apres De Deluge 2.00S, Supremacy 2.15G, Gunnery 2.30S, Al Aasy 2.45G, Nazeef 3.15G, Calcutta Cup 3.45G. Good luck if you have a go.
Togo.. Latest weather at Goodwood. Wall to wall blue skies.
... and never trust the sponge washer that comes with the plug hole kit. I always chuck it and use Plumbers Mait instead.
Grey Grey Grey here Alava. When I started looking Al....it turned out that the small coach bolt that holds the two parts of the sink drain/plughole together had rotted away so the two parts were only being held together by good luck. No repair possible new parts sourced. All I have to do now is pick em up and fiddle about under the sink. The worst bit is getting the overflow up the back of the bowl and the chain holder lined up to screw em together. I need another 8 inches added to the length of my arms I think. Haha.
Will change the flat washers on the u trap as well. They are also dry as a witches watsit. Keep telling "She who must be obeyed" to go easy with the ruddy sink unblocker/cleaner garbage. The bleedin grief for a few quids worth of kit. A plumber would probably want about 80 quid to come out, diagnose, then fit it mind.

3 placed for £12.80 return. Typically David Egan rides mine into 2nd spot in the opener, then boots a 50/1 home in the next, beating mine by 3/4l in the process :-/
You were still better that I was Ken despite Egan's efforts to thwart you. I am sinking fast this week(see above) Haha. Try again tomorrow. Been out all day and even went for a pint.
Question Author
Another poor card with just 2 handicaps to play with. Had to nip up to Ponte just to make up a Patent:-/ More in hope than in confidence;

1.10 G; Celestrian @ 8/1
1.55 P; Little Ted @ 6/1
2.45 G; Sir Busker @ 6/1

50p Patent, 75p e,w, Treble. 3 placed = £11, 3 winners = £638

Good luck with your selections

Hmm..though I had posted earlier. Ahh well. quick resume before I go down to the shore. £1.00 Trixie.

Prompting 2.45 Good.
Lanzealot 2.55 Pont.
Communique 3.45 Good.
ITV7 those 3 with One Master, Khaloosy, Highwaygrey, Bataash. Good luck if you have a go.
Ahh well Ken. I had 4 winners in the ITV7 and never drew a penny. Spent the day down on Colwyn Bay prom and walked the length of it there and back ....slowly, so had no cover bets or recovery attempts. Neer mind I have had a good day. Must have been bleedin murder decorating today bud, would not have fancied it. Will carry on posting on this thread for the final day Ken considering the thread header and fingers crossed for a change of fortune for me.
That Gulliver was due to run today. Don't know how he conspired to chuck that Irish race. I was putting my daps on to collect my winnings when they announced the result.
Weld will surely win a few at Galway today.
Running in the 3.35 Goodwood Spice...good draw as well. Bit late today been on an errand of mercy since early doors. Get back when I have had a look and a cuppa.
