That's not quite the same as Strictly though is it? It's about making a point, allowing two men of the same sexual persuasion to dance together - why bring sexual preference into a popular show. Pandering to the minorities as usual.
Traditional Ballroom dancing has specific roles for women and men, e.g. the leads and the holds, the poses. Regardless of sexual preferences, it just doesn't work with same sex dancing. It just looks so wrong.
Soon we will be seeing men and women swapping roles in classical ballet - an all male dance of the cygnets perhaps?
I don't think it will descend into farce LadyCG, if it derails the programme, the Beeb will drop the idea pretty sharpish, but thank you for answering.
