can we all look forward to the return of 'double your money'?
Having remembered the older version I was expecting this reboot to be awful but it was actually okay viewing and better than watching x factors got talent..
These game shows were of a different time, we only had 3 or 4 channels to choose from, it is the same when I watch old re runs of different programmes, I hear myself saying under my breath, 'how on earth did I enjoy that back in the day'!
For the last few weeks on 'Talking Pictures', I have been watching re runs of 'Sunday NIght at the London Palladium', with Bruce Forsyth, Ted Rogers, Jimmy Tarbuck, Jim Dale and Tommy Trinder hosting, a good old fashoined variety show, but 80% of it is rubbish, but back when I were a lad, I remember it was compulsive viewing in the 1950s and 60s.
As for this new Play Your Cards Right, I turned it off after about 5 minutes, didn't enjoy it at all, and did anyone else notice the strange way that Alan Carr turned the cards over, so cack handed, turning them over from the top, very strange indeed!
Play Your Cards Right, only suitable for a ten minute session in a Maths lesson on probability!
Wheel of Fortune is still showing on Virgin. Have a look at Nicky Campbell with a youth rash.
Bullseye and The Price Is right had prizes that were at extremes but mainly useless. Bullseye, cheap and useless; The Price Is Right, more expensive and more useless; garden ornaments that was ghastly; oversize bedroom and bathroom stuff.
Bullseye; set of crystal glasses on a Ratner tray; latest invention of 2" television etc; Bullys' Special Prize; a lovely set of garden furniture with a huge parasol. All of it probably bought from the Argos catalogue.
Yes Alan Carr but I don’t like Jimmy either so it doesn’t count :0)
What I really like about Alan Carr is that he isn't Keith Lemon.
Yeuckkkk
You have a good point Ellipsis
Don’t like him at all, in fact there’s very few of the ‘new breed’ of comedians I do like come to think of it
"You've won our star prize, a speedboat"
"Oh, great. [i]thinks: What **** use is that?[i]"
Bobbi they are all too pleased with themselves for me.
Smug as can be.
Hit the nail on the head LB
