Don't answer just to Troll, if you hate Bond fine I don't want to know.
Some suggestions here ....

....but I've been impressed with Taron Egerton of late and I think he'd make a great Bond.

DD; "I completely understand where TTT is coming from with his stipulations, but that said, wouldn’t mind Elba. He’s a very charismatic actor and the actors who play bond need to bring charisma to the role. " - yes, Elba would make a good bond but the rules are the rules! TBF though he's knocking on a bit.
Jason Statham?

Roger Moore aside, I’d like anybody playing Bond to at least be able to act.
Question Author
danny: "Jason Statham" - ok could do it, but too cockney geezer and no hair.
Question Author
mozz: "Daniel Craig is 52. " - now he is, not at the start, too old to start, Moore was really but made it work mostly.
Question Author
tigger: Ben barnes? - nope too love island and type cast as gold digger.
Question Author
tigger: "I would've also said Douglas Booth but he's probably too young and too pretty. " - ...and you'd be correct!
How about Richard Armitage? I've no idea how old he is though.
Question Author
mozz, looks feasible, beard off of course but too old to start.
Clive Standen? Excellent in Vikings.
// Might have a few quid on Tom Hiddleston @ 10s //

do you think Bond would work when portrayed with a straggly ginger beard?
SP1814; Re; Daniel Mays. I saw him in Line Of Duty and was so pleased to see him die early doors. Yes, I know it flitted in and out of the rest of the series, but his plasticine face wasn't on screen for long. There is something about him that just puts me off.
Mushroom; ever heard of razors?
Statham would've been an interesting Bond when they had to redo Bond (because Bourne made the franchise look old fashioned), like a lot of others mentioned - *way* too old now. It needs to be someone you could imagine carrying four films...that's about fourteen years.

Whoever it is, needs to be about 30 now.

I would've said that Richard Madden has the right profile after Bodyguard, but no.

My money is still on Norton.

James, not Graham.
Re: Daniel Mays.

If you can find it, it's well-worth downloading, a C4 comedy 10 years or so ago called Plus One - it didn't get the credit it deserved - it was hilarious, and Daniel Mays was superb in it...and since then I've always considered him more of a comedy actor.
Rupert Penry Jones looks the part - very suave and sophisticated with a glint in his eye but he is 49. It is a very strenuous and physical role so looks are not enough. Still think James Norton is the one but as a type 1 diabetic who has to have daily injections could he do it?
// as a type 1 diabetic who has to have daily injections could he do it? //

a diabetic injecting bond - that would tick a few PC boxes.....
Type 1 diabetes wouldn't necessarily hinder a person's ability to perform physical tasks. Gary Mabbutt was Type 1 Diabetic and played for Spurs in the top flight for 16 years.
Agree Ken but once read he had to inject up to 15 times a day. That's a lot. Steve Redgrave also diabetic and did really well. Not a problem if well monitored. James is still top of my list.
Aiden Turner with Poldark curls - drooool
//Aiden Turner with Poldark curls//

He'll always be Mitchell from Being Human in my eyes.
