Didn't sound too healthy today. Hope he's okay.... And will Paul O'Grady be returning to R2? I do miss his show

I used to love Johnny Walker back in the day - clearly a passionate music fan who understands what he plays, and the people who make the music he loves.

I especially liked his maverick streak - recording a Radio One Boss telling him he would always have a job on the station, and then playing it over the air when he was sacked!

Lately, I find him a bit tame, and lacking in actual personality, but he still has the wonderful voice.
I didn't hear the show today but I've always liked his style of presenting and his musical choices, and Sounds of The Seventies is always worth a listen, so I hope he's okay. He is 76 though and has had serious health issues before including a major cancer issue nearly 20 years ago and cocaine issues
For the last few weeks I have thought he sounded a bit frail, and sometimes slightly confused. He seems to need Tiggy there now.

I haven't listened to today's show yet.
It'll be eating Tiggy's banana bread before it's cooled properly.

He has been warned. :-)
He recovered from cancer in the early part of the century, but was forced to take time off last year because of a heart condition. At 75 he's not a great age these days.

I hope he's fine. I love "Sounds of the Seventies".
I just hope they take him off air before he becomes a shadow of his former self.

There is much to be said for a presenter leaving at the top, rather than fading away and being kept on for the legend that they were, rather than the ill and uncomfortable individual they have become.

The last years of Stuart Henry stand as an example.
Oh I don't think he's anywhere near that Andy. In fact it's probably just lockdown fever.
I've just listened to the show, and I thought he was on top form. Better than the previous couple of weeks.
