Didn't particularly like it but was delighted to see the young lady winning £25 000
I wasnt that keen on it myself but I will give it another try tonight

It’s a bit light entertainment just now
it was a bit samey ,i'd like to see a quiz where someone can pick one chaser to help them against the other 4
I enjoyed it, lifted the gloom a little for me.
I'd like to see the Chasers play the Eggheads.

Ohh, me too lankeela, that would be worth watching
That would indeed be worth watching. The young student paramedic chose the right option in taking on 3 chasers.I would be surprised, given the fact that contestants only get a few seconds advantage, they could beat all five.
I would always take the option to beat the five - you are dealing with pro quiz brains here - one and certainly two will know anything you know, so you lose nothing by adding three more, but you do increase your cash offer.

On a 'nothing to lose' basis, it has to be worth a go.
BTW - the lady who won £25,000 - did anyone else think she was slightly odd in her demeanour - maybe on the autism spectrum?
Yes Andy, I had the same thought.
Haven't watched the regular prog for years, but I quite enjoyed this.

Yes I did AH
I wasn't completely taken with it,but will give it another go tonight. Was thrilled for the young lady who won £25000. It doesn't seem fair when the chasers can add almost a minute more to their time.
Just watched Alex win her £25K, she did well and as Jenny said she'll make a great Paramedic.
Mamya - // Just watched Alex win her £25K, she did well and as Jenny said she'll make a great Paramedic. //

She may, she may not - we can't judge on ten minutes on a tv quiz show - but I do think she is on the spectrum which may or may not cause issues with her career path.
We're all on the spectrum - just in varying degrees.
Andy, I gave my opinion - I think she has the potential to succeed. We'll likely never know either way.

I am surrounded in my family by those on the spectrum and though it may impinge on each of their chosen paths to a greater or lesser degree we don't use it as a measuring stick of who they are.

I would never suggest that anyone should be measuring anyone else in that way - that was not my point.

In the same way that we cannot make valid judgements about anyone we see on tv for ten minutes, we cannot assume that this lady will or will not succeed in her career, on the spectrum or not - it's an invalid assumption.

That was the point I was making - if you interpreted my post as being more about her possible issues caused by her being potentially on the spectrum, then I failed to make my point clearly, and if I upset you then please accept my apologies.
If I'd have won £25,000, I would have given £5,000 to Father George for his Mississippi cruise. What a lovely man.
