Did anyone watch this Tonight program. Milk being poured down drain , eggs not delivered. Hadn’t crossed my mind but it drew my attention to it. Obvious if you think about it. No restaurants, bars cafes open.
Also fishing at a standstill for the same reasons.
HGV drivers being refused entry to toilets at their final drop off point.

Perlease!
Relative is a dairy farmer in the north east of Scotland and is seriously worried about the lack of outlets for his milk.
The hens and cows don't stop producing, it's a crying shame all that waste though.
There were farmers on one of my Facebook groups pleading for people to take the milk off them.
We haven't been able to get eggs in the supermarket for 3 weeks so this seems a great shame.
why's that, margarettom? I imagine the eggs are still being laid and nobody's stockpiling very many of them. Is there a delivery problem?
No idea! I am not doing my shopping at the moment, but according to my son only duck eggs available. Weird!
maybe the Americans have bought them all to throw at persons in positions of authority.

We had a few days when nobody had any, but I think that was just panic buying. Our shops have been okay since them.
I've not been in a shop in over a month, but as I mentioned in a thread I posted last week, there is little on offer online. I made a list for delivery the other day and only 6 packs of free range were available...one per order.
It's an absolute waste and a sin that so much is being lost. With eggs, could they be sold loose in some way...customer uses own box or container?
