If that is not accurate then how can we have faith in any other part of it.If some of the other things portrayed did not happen then it's no wonder he is appealing.
I think that the contestant Charles Ingram should be paid the money as the TV company security was so slack.
I have been on over 25 quiz shows and cheated on at least eight
Jeopardy three contestants and at the end you have to back part or all of your total score in win £500. The only problem was you only knew your score but not the opposition. I had a friend in the audience who previously I said if I have to bet the lot just take your glasses off which he did so I bet the lot

I like the line from Mark Bonnar's character when he's extolling the virtues of pub quizzes, he says they combine two of our favourite things - drinking and being right!
Quite interesting that Barry from Eggheads has been on twice not getting any further than fastest finger first on his first time.. Also Mark Labatt known as the beast has been on twice in which the first time on fastest finger first he was the only one out of the ten contestants.to get the answer wrong Then there was Trevor Montague who wrote "The A-Z of everything" and ended up in a court case with William G Stewart of 15 to one fame. He only won £1000
He was found guilty.

I've never understood the phone a friend bit. At the time this incident occurred people had access to the internet for cheating.
Don't know about that, Sandy. If say you asked me what the capital of Poland was, I could have the answer from Google before you'd finished reading out four options. That's without practicing. The friend would have needed to be somewhere with a fast connection, but that may have been possible.
