I have only just watched the series, we recorded all three and watched them back to back this evening.

If I had been on the jury and an argument as persuasive as the one given by the defence counsel in the drama was offered, I would have expected them to be found not guilty.

It made the end a little odd - a seriously persuasive and convincing argument of innocence, no summing up from the prosecution, and then a guilty verdict - very strange.
I though the trial was being held in a non serious manner Even the judge was light hearted .Took away from the serious nature of the whole thing .
weecalf - I'd agree.

I know this is a drama, and certain liberties can be taken, but obvious gaffes like interviewing the couple together was just bad television.
I agree with andy-hughes, I couldn't have found them guilty on the case as we saw it in the programme. I have no idea whether or not the portrayal was accurate, but I quite liked the major as portrayed and felt sorry for him in the end.
Interesting that the youtube vid I posted earlier no longer exists.
