Ok Roy, what do you think then?

So far so good. I'm usually disappointed.
Actually having rewatched it it’s my left shoulder gets in the frame :-)

Perhaps the Voltarol people will see it, cassa, and give you an advert.
Yes. On the back of my left elbow in an action shot. Not that you can see it but I was pretending to eat a really manky looking spag Bol.

Now that I’ve seen my staring role I don’t actually have to watch the rest. But I might anyway lol
Quite enjoyed it, will carry on watching.
I enjoyed it and will make sure I watch the next one. I'm not sure how close to the truth it was though.
The Major reminded me of Price William with his manner and voice
The writer of this drama said:
Quiz writer Graham has previously said that the Ingrams were ‘happy’ with their portrayal in the three-part drama, where they’ll be played by Spooks star Matthew MacFayden and Fleabag’s Sian Clifford respectively. ‘We spoke to everybody [involved],’ Graham said. ‘We deliberately engaged with them very early on.’ ‘I think, I hope, that since we are raising the possibility that all is not as it seems, they seem quite pleased that this conversation is being had.’

So they have co-operated but it's not clear if they received payment
They picked a good one to play Chris Tarrant.

Sorry, I didn't answer last night because I decided to find a pair of locking pliers and snap them on my gonads instead.

I didn't say 'The Major was bullied into it.' because that would have meant I took the drama as gospel.

I actually said
The Major *appears* to have been bullied into it.

Because I knew it was a drama and that quite possibly I wasn't going to get the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Happy now?
// if someone was making a TV programme about me and I stood to gain nothing, surely I'd be able to stop it??//

No, you can't, friends of ours had an horrific episode from their family's life made into a TV drama and they were unable to prevent it.
You can, of course, refuse to have any input in the programme but then you wouldn't be able to point out any misrepresentations of your character or the story.
And when those involved refuse to co-operate that is usually made very clear at the start of the drama, often in a way that puts them in a bad light
For me the real revelation is how much money Paddy Spooner and his chums were able to obtain and how they achieved it.
There has been several controversial dramas about real life people lately including Madeleine McCann, Sharon Matthews, Rhys Jones, the Hatton Garden robbery, Fred and Rose West.

I'm sure there has been legal challenges to stop the broadcast of some of them

What a very strange thing to say! Anyway, thanks for sharing how you spend your leisure hours, whatever blows your skirts up!!

Actually what you said at 22:13 was

'The Major was bullied into it'

followed in the same post by

'The Major appeared to have been bullied into it'

which is a confusing contradiction, hence my query about what you actually thought, since it was far from clear, you would agree.

//Because I knew it was a drama and that quite possibly I wasn't going to get the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. //

Again, it doesn't really explain what you thought, but honestly, it was just an idle thought, and it's passed now, so don't worry about it.

// Happy now? //

Always, and my happiness is not, contrary to whatever strange belief you may hold, affected in the slightest by your response, or absence of response - you really do overthink your level of importance in my life.
Pliers time again.
LOL Roy. That made me laugh out loud. x
royfromaus is now firmly on the haughty step. :-)
Haven't read all the answers but I can confirm you can watch the whole shows that Ingram featured in. My wife and I just watched it on youtube.
It is a subtitled with another language but the dialogue is English.
Of course now we know how he is alleged to have cheated ( an appeal is in the offing) the coughing episodes are quite apparent.
It is also apparent that with some of the questions he had been adamant that he thought it was answer X and then he would choose the correct answer which he had so vehemently dismissed as unlikely.
