British Sit-Com From The 70S/80S

Can anyone remember a British sit-com from the 70s or 80s, the only thing that I can really remember was that one of the main characters was a caretaker/janitor who always wore a brown smock overall. He was a smallish actor who had largish teeth/dentures.
Bit of a long shot I know.
