My RCA Android tablet goes from 10% to 0% in less than 2 minutes! How do I fix this without taking apart my tablet or spending money at the local electronic repair shop?

If you dont want to fit a new battery the only option is to keep it plugged in all the time - fitting a new battery will probably be a pig of a job as they want you to buy a new one.
Surely what is of more importance is how long does it take to get from 100% to 10%?

It takes at least 30-45 minutes to go from 100%-10%
In that case you obviously need a new battery.
Even though this is not the tablet you have this may be of use:
There are many factors that affect this so you need to avoid doing certain things to reduce this issue. One of them is- do not ever use your tablet while charging because of this it slowers the processing and causes this issue that you are talking about.
