Has anyone else been watching this programme series on BBC4, we loved it ..down to earth and true to life.

I thought this was the one with Prunella Scales and Timothy West so avoided it, as that was dire. Now I know different I'll follow it on catch up.

I find that a shame. Considering Timothy West was trying to keep his wife with him as long as possible I thought their series was excellent.
They provided interesting canal journeys which must of been difficult for Mr West. We were watching his wife deteriorating with Altzheimers yet there was still touching loyalty and devotion from him.
Oh well. Everyone to their own. I watched how my mother struggled valiantly with my my father when he was dying with Altzheimers so I reckon I can appreciate what Timothy West was doing for his wife.
Agree retro, a lovely programme and very popular. So sad to see Prue fading away but always smiling.
