Did anybody see MILLION DOLLAR WEDDING PLANNER (BBC 2, Thursday 10th October)? The sort of lavish, extravagant life-style that only money can buy.

No. I’m not interested in people like that. Spending that much money on one day is ridiculous however much money they’ve got.

I saw it , everything looked very exhausting to me.

Imagine the stress of getting everything to be perfect. I think mine cost less than £1000 including fees, my dress, ring and food. Champagne was courtesy of our guests, and other friends who weren’t invited. (They weren’t snubbed. It was close family only.)

£1000?! Holy smoke... I think ours cost about £100, what with registry fees and lunch for ten (but it was a long time ago, lunch is more expensive now)

Yep, mine was only last year after 23 years together. As husband’s friend said ‘You can’t rush into these things.’
