John Hannah has recently (within the last 2 years) starred in (I think) two adaptation of Rebus novels for ITV. Although I can't remember which ones. I do remember he was quoted in the T.V. press at the time of the first, that he believed, [he] 'was to young for the part, but couldn't turn it down.'

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think dead souls was one of the adaptations.
