I was watching an old episode of First Dates where one of the male daters was a cross-dresser who turned up in a wig, dress and high heels…

So ladies … if you went on a blind date and your man turned up in a wig, dress and high heels would you continue the date – or would you beat a hasty retreat?

I'd be really surprised but I think I'd stay the distance and go on the date, I mean if you don't get to know someone how do you know they are incompatible with you? I can however see why some people might not be comfy with the fact they had not been told, but it's not as bad as a blind date and the guy turns out to Vote Ukip and hasn't told you :) x

I can safely say with hand on heart that any man who dresses as a woman would, as a potential boyfriend/partner, be incompatible with me.

Fair enough Naomi, for me it wouldn't be a deal breaker, just very surprising if I hadn't expected it. If mine suddenly started dressing in women's clothes I'd be surprised but it wouldn't stop me loving him or make me want to leave him. I'd be more interested in why that appealed to him but he'd still be the same person and actually Douglas has touched on something interesting. We as women often get our hair off about men sexualising us or only going by looks and we berate them for not looking deeper into our character and personality, yet something as simple as a men wanting to sometimes wear women's clothing would cancel him out as a potential mate for a lot of women it seems, when we routinely wear 'mens' clothes as a matter of course and would criticise a man who wanted us to wear dressed and to enhance our visual feminity at all times. It's an interesting topic.
